Hi,

I have a Dell laptop with 6GB RAM, CPU I5 3.2GHz and 500HDD. I got this error this morning on my Windows 7 and I don’t know what it means. I have 6GB RAM I don’t know why it says that I don’t have virtual memory. Does anyone know why I have this error and how can I fix it ?

Thank you !

Critical Error

Ran out of virtual memory. To prevent this condition, you must free up more space on your primary hard disk.

Hey Larry,

The reason why you are having this error message is because your virtual memory is the one that’s used to simulate more RAM when your computer is almost getting to its maximum RAM and CPU usage. You can fix this by changing your virtual memory by altering the amount of free resources for your computer to use for it.

1. Click on the “Start button Picture” of the “Start button”

2. Click “Control Panel”

3. Choose “System and Maintenance” and then click “System”.

4. In the left pane, click on “Advanced system settings”.

5. On the Advanced tab, under Performance, click on “Settings”.

6. Click the “Advanced tab”, and then, under “Virtual memory”, choose “Change”.

7. Click “Custom” to change the Initial size as well as the Maximum size.
