Warehouse is the depot of data. It preserves data for the user. It preserves all records of the users. You may come to know about the Warehouse Inventory Management System (WIMS). This is also related to a warehouse. Regarding warehouse you have to consider some important things. First you have to confirm the security of it.
It should be built in a secret place or a convenient place i. e. easy to assure its safeguard. You have to confirm sabotage as for all. However, all necessary steps should be taken to preserve the warehouse safe and free from damage as it is the main depot of your data.

A “data warehouse” is large data storage or database collected from a broad range of sources inside a company and is utilized to direct management decisions. Data warehouse is often abbreviated as “DW” or “DWH” or for enterprise data warehouse it is “EDW”. It is actually a database that is used for data examination and reporting. It is the chief depository of data formed by incorporating data coming from one or more different sources.
The types of data that data warehouses store include historical data and also present data which are then utilized in constructing trending reports for senior management reporting like the quarterly and annual evaluations. Data warehouses can then be divided or separated into “data marts”. These “data marts” then saves subsets of data coming from the warehouse.
