Hi

Bautisalawrence

There is nothing to worry. Just find out what driver you need to install. For example, if you miss the cd or DVD of intel motherboard, then you can download that particular drivers from intel site or other third party site. Similarly, if you can not find the cd or DVD of your lexmark/hp/canon/brothers printers, then too you can download the driver software from the sites. Download them and install and enjoy. This applies for all the hardware.

So, as i said, there is nothing to worry.

Hope this helps.

Thanks.

Hello Bautistalawrence.

When I lose my device's driver CD, I always go to the manufacturer's website.  Manufacturers almost always have their device drivers available for download on their support page.  Even if you still have the driver CD, I would recommend you get your drivers from the manufacturer's support site.  Why?  That’s because device drivers get updated most of the time.  These updates are usually created to fix bugs or improve performance, or, in some cases, add features that aren't in the original driver.

If you can't download from the manufacturer's site, you can also rely on the operating system's default drivers.  Windows 7, for example, has default drivers for the most common devices such as keyboards, mice, graphics cards, etc.

Hi,

If the driver CD for a particular hardware component is no longer available, you can always search your driver on the web, there would be numerous results but in order to choose one should choose the compressed file for the particular hardware, as this has all the files, and you should save it on the desktop in a folder, so that when you want to retrieve your files it would be, located very fast.

When you choose the driver you follow all instructions you save the file, and if they ask you to restart your PC, please do as this may affect if your driver is successfully download.

If you are using a laptop or you need to install a driver for a particular hardware but you no longer have the installation CD, the best way to get and install the driver is to download it from the manufacturer’s website. Check out the following list and click the link to your computer or hardware manufacturer:

On the support page, enter your computer or product’s serial number or model number then click to search. When your product is located, click it to go to the download page. Go to the driver download section or tab. The page should detect your operating system automatically. If the page shows a different operating system, click to change then select your correct operating system.

Download and install all available drivers and software for your device.
