DDR3 vs DRR4 a comparison in terms of performance

I am currently running a system with DDR 3 ram and given that I am a gamer, processing speed is a key factor for me. I am seriously considering to upgrade to DDR 4 ram as I have been told that obviously the processing speed is much improved and that it is much smoother in terms of voltage. Can anyone give me more advantages to confirm my choice?

If you're looking to upgrade your computer, then go with ddr4 but there is not a big difference in both regarding games. DDR4's transfer rate is 2133MT/s while DDR3 supports only up to 800-2133 MT/s. 
Energy consumption for DDR4 is less. For gamers, DDR3 provide enough speed to run your game smoothly on OS. DDR4 is made with the idea of power saving.
