DB Control Panel A connection to PostgreSQL could not be made

Good day!

I am trying to launch Holdem manager, and on with connecting to PostgreSQL when I encounter this message: “A connection to PostgreSQL could not be made.

Would you like Holdem to Manager to attempt to start the service?”

So, of course, I clicked “Yes” but it doesn’t start.

Any ideas on why this is occurring?

Thanks!

Hi Mike C Coriell Thanks for posting your problem there.

This error occurs due to firewall or window updating problem. This is usually a firewall or a windows update issue.

First of all you should try to reboot. If you get no help to reboot then try this.

Start > Programs > PostgreSQL > 8. x > Stop Service Start > Programs > PostgreSQL > 8. x > Start Service

If the second option also do not helpful then delete the following file postgresql8.xdatapostmaster.pid file And reboot And the last way is to reinstall the PostgreSQL
