What is a Data Pilot and how it can be associated with Open Office Writer? I need some procedures on how to properly do it. Thanks.

Hi Laura,

DataPilot can also be associated to Pivot Table of MS Excel, since they mostly contains the same features as Pivot Table. It allows you to manipulate large sum of data. You can sort data, filter data, layout table and data analysis. If you have previously used pivot table you'll find that DataPilot and Pivot Table is almost the same.

Before, DataPilot is only available in Open Office Calc. Now Open Office 3.3 Writer has added this feature. Which I think is very fantastic since I don't need to go to Calc to create the table, add DataPilot and then copy-paste it in the Open Office writer. Now it will allow me to directly insert DataPilot to the word document which can be very easy and saves time.
