Data CD burning problem with my DVD Rom

When I try to burn a data Disk with the Nero software in my DVD ROM, it burns some space on the disk. After burning some space in the disk, the DVD ROM automatically ejects the disk. Then a message shows, "data error unable to handle all files".

If I burn video or MP3 disk with same DVD ROM then there is no problem. I tried with different versions of Nero software to solve the problem but nothing happened. How can I solve the problem?

It's hard to pin point exactly what the problem is, but here's a few suggestions that might help you make a successful burn:

  • Enable test mode in Nero. This will simulate a DVD write process but will not write any actual data on the DVD disk. Hopefully, you will be able to pinpoint where the problem occurs without having to waste DVD media.
  • Burn the data files to Image (.nrg, or .iso). Once Nero succeeds in creating the image file, you can then burn this image file to disk.
  • Reduce the number of folder hierarchy, in the folder structure of the data you are writing to disk.
  • Try burning using a different CD writing application. There are several freeware CD/DVD burning applications out there such as ImgBurn or CDBurnXP. But be sure to uninstall Nero first before trying other CD/DVD burning applications.

Hello,

Problem with DVD ROM while burning, you must check the file you are burning from the CD. Then check the memory of the CD, if it suits the music or file. Then check the CD if it is DVD compatible for the DVD ROM or may be the CD as a data install.

Check the DVD ROM, if it can read or may be able to burn a data into the CD or DVD if there is a compact disk re-writable and then try to check the DVD ROM in the BIOS, if properly connected to the motherboard. Then enable the device from BIOS.

If you keep using Nero though you keep receiving this error, try using a different burning software. First burning software you can try is ImgBurn. It supports Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8.x, and Windows 10 including older operating systems like Windows 95. It allows you to burn CDs, DVDs, HD DVDs, and Blu-ray.

It offers several modes you can use:

  • Read – this allows you to open an image file like ISO.
  • Build – this allows you to create a disc image or create a disc image from the files on your hard drive.
  • Write – this allows you to burn a disc image to a disc like burn an ISO image to a CD or DVD.
  • Verify – this allows you to check if a disc is one hundred percent (100%) readable.
  • Discovery – this allows you to test your drive and check the quality of the burns your drive is producing. This is used with DVDINFOPro.

Second burning software you can try is DAEMON Tools Lite. The latest version at the moment is DAEMON Tools Lite 10.
