Hello! I installed SIMS 2 Bon Voyage few days ago. It was working well at first, but today I got an error “D3DERR_NOTAVAILABLE!” I reinstalled the game thinking that it can solve the problem, but I am receiving the same error message.

Is there something wrong with my settings?

Please help.

That error is caused by missing DirectX files that are need for the SIM 2 Bon Voyage application to work well. And therefore to fix the issue you will need to do the following:

  • The first thing that you will need to do is update the video drivers.
  • After that you will need to make sure that the latest DirectX files have been installed to replace the old ones that are causing the application to malfunction.
  • In case you have already installed the latest video drivers, then you will need to uninstall and then reinstall them again to fix that problem.
