Hello there,

I have a project that I started at college and I have to finish it at home. When I want to load the project on my laptop this error appears in AutoCAD 2010. The project was created in AutoCAD 2010 at college and I don’t think it might be an iconpatibility issue. Does anyone have any idea about this ?

Thanks !

If both your computer at home and the computer you used in school have the same version of AutoCAD then there should be no problem. I don’t think the error you received is caused by your school project because the error is about a certain customization file and it is normally part of the AutoCAD program and included in the installation.

If AutoCAD can’t access the “fdmcad.cutx” file then maybe the file is corrupted. To make sure your application is still working properly, try loading any of your old AutoCAD projects. If the application is still working properly, you should be able to open any of your previous files. But if you received a somewhat similar error then there is something wrong with your program.

Reinstall AutoCAD 2010 to restore the file and fix the problem. Uninstall AutoCAD 2010 then restart your computer. Next, click Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, and click Disk Cleanup. Select drive C and click OK. Check “Temporary files” and click OK. Wait for it to finish and then install AutoCAD 2010 again.
