Cursor jumping to a different location in my Dell laptop

Hi all,

I own a Dell Inspiron 11 laptop and it is amazing. But recently I started facing one problem. While typing something in the notepad or MS Word, the cursor is going to a different place automatically. This is really frustrating while typing because I have to reposition the cursor in the correct place before start typing again and it is wasting time a lot. Does anybody experience this kind of problem before? Is this the problem with my keyboard, mouse or the laptop itself? Please help me to find a way to resolve this problem.

Thanks!

Hello Anthony

Disable the touchpad on the laptop and check whether the issue remains. To disable the touchpad, go to control panel and check mark the Disable the Touch Pad/ Stick when USB pointer in use.

If there are no option for touchpad under the mouse category in control panel, go to the manufacturer site and install touchpad driver.
