Hi,

The patch file seems to be missing. To successfully run the game you need a valid patch file. Follow the steps below:

  1. Uninstall the game completely from your computer. Delete any files that are not deleted in the uninstallation process.
  2. Now download the valid patch file and save it on your computer.
  3. Install the game on your computer and restart it.
  4. Now install the patch file on your computer.

This should solve your problem.

It’s an obvious sign of a download problem alright. First to check is your internet connection. Make sure your computer is still connected to the internet when downloading the patch because when a problem is detected it will not initiate the download process. CrossFire is an FPS or First-Person Shooter online game developed by SmileGate of South Korea.

It is a South Korean-made tactical online game published by the Korean publisher Neowiz. If you are downloading the patch from within the game client, try downloading it using the web browser and then just open it manually to install the patch. Actually, from February of 2011 up to present, there are already 30 different patches available.

Download your desired patch by visiting CrossFire Patch Content with your web browser. Just run the patch after downloading to install and apply it on your game. If this doesn’t fix the problem, download the latest version of the game’s installer from CrossFire Game Download. After the download, uninstall CrossFire from your computer then run the installer and then apply the patch again.

This will fix the problem. CrossFire is not designed for Windows 8 and is intended only for Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7.
