Creative Suite Design Standard: Component install failed

Hi,

I have Creative Suite 3 Design Standard installed on my computer which runs under Windows 7. Yesterday, when I opened Illustrator I get this error message that tells me to uninstall and reinstall the software.

The same error message appears when I opened InDesign and Photoshop. I did not encounter this kind of error before only now.

I followed what the message tells me to do. I uninstalled CS3, restarted my computer, and installed it again. The shared component were installed only InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop were not, and this error message appears "Component install failed".

I tried fixing the problem myself but I couldn’t find one that would really resolve my problem. Please give me some advice on what to do.

Thank you in advance.

Hi Dee,

When you want to install creative suite 3 design, all the restriction is free? I mean you have the license, because if you don't have, you will not succeed in the installation process. You will  received a serial number, for your own advantage as a  customer, and for their protection as a developer.

They can see that when you have internet connection. You will be activated. and once you are activated, you just can not uninstalled, you have to deactivate also before you uninstalled. Just open the product you want to deactivate and click help menu and deactivate. When you want to install, you can use the regsvr32 JScript. dll, you can do this by:

1. Start logo.

2. Start search> run.

3. Click on first result> type regsvr32 JScrip.DLL>OK.

4. Ignore the error message and run the set up.

About your problem in Photoshop use, maybe you can do this;

a. Turn off internet and disable virus.

b. Install trial.

c. Follow 1 to 4 and.

d. Reboot and open photoshop.

If that happened after reinstalling CS3, you probably need to do a clean install of Adobe Creative Suite 3. You can do this by completely uninstalling all CS3 applications from your computer and then installing them back one by one. Download Revo Uninstaller Freeware. Use the supplied password to unpack then run the installer to install Revo Uninstaller.

After this, run Revo Uninstaller then uninstall all Adobe CS3 applications from the panel. Follow the instructions to completely remove the programs without leaving any component files and registry entries behind. After all CS3 applications are removed, go to CCleaner Free Download then download and install CCleaner Free. Once installed, run CCleaner and clean your system. Restart your computer afterwards.

After booting, install the Adobe CS3 applications you need one at a time then after every successful install, run the program to make sure it is working. If you no longer have the installer or the installation DVD is no longer working, you can download the installers again from Download CS3 Products.

Remember, you can only download them if you previously purchased them because it will require you your CS3 serial number to complete the installation. If you forgot your serial number, go to Adobe Account then log in to your account. You can find your serial number in the “Plans & Products” section. If you want to register CCleaner, download CCleaner Registration Codes.

Use the supplied password to unpack. Open “license-keys_readme.txt” with Notepad and follow the instructions.
