The Group Policy Editor is a local Microsoft Management Console (MMC) snap-in that manages the Group Policy Objects (GPO) through a single Interface. Using the Group Policy Editor, we can edit GPOs, disable user settings, and do tasks like Start and shutdown using scripts. Creating and Managing Group Policy Editor Server 2012:

• Under the Organisational Unit, click on ‘Create and Link group Policy Object’ to create your GPO.

• Name the GPO, and click OK when finished.

• Right click on the Group Policy Object, and then choose Edit.

• Create a new folder by doing a right-click on the blank space and select ‘Create a new folder’.

• Enter the name and path of the folder, and click on ‘Apply’.

• Now, you can control the GPOs from the Policy Management Tool.
