How to create network playlist? My friends are all music lovers and they are asking me to create a network playlist, but I don’t know how. I decided to find some forums that can possibly help me and luckily I found techyv. I wish you could help me along the process.
Thanks and Regards,
Create Network Based Playlist to be Shared with Friends
You can check your playlist in your computer just be sure that it is identical to what you will put in your network.
Make your folder as a shared folder, and on both putters, put on the identical path.
This will work, provided the playlist created its entries with absolute and not relative paths.
Here's an example of Absolute path:
M:MusicLed ZeppelinPhysical GraffitiCustard Pie.mp3
It will work.
But this Relative path sample:
MusicLed ZeppelinPhysical GraffitiCustard Pie.mp3
It will not work.
Samples and above information are quoted and based from the site http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?t=254817.
This is another option:
You can create simple text files with the use of a notepad and use them as playlist.
Here's a sample code:
HDDMusic 3 Aerosmith – Cryin'.mp3
Save them on your HDD, keep in mind that photos, music and movies should not be mixed.
To apply this on a network, make it like the sample below without giving the full path.
Alicia KeysThe Diary Of Alicia Keys 1 Harlem's Nocturne.mp3
