Could you access Active Directory (AD) services to other third party? Where is the AD database located? What are those same folders which is similar to AD? And how to copy the properties for AD distribution and DC?

For sure you can be able to access active directory services to other third party directory services. One application that you can use to carry out that is called the Microsoft Identity Integration Server (MIIS), which is mainly used to connect Active Directory to other 3rd-party Directory Services some of which include the directories that are use by SAP, Domino, and so forth.

You can also access active directory to other third party services using the dirXML or LDAP so as to connect to other directories, for instance the E-directory from Novell. So you will just need to figure out which service will be suitable in your case and then use it to access third party directory services.
