I can’t log in with my Email/Exchange account using Outlook even when typing the correct user name and password. How can I fix this?

Hi Lance,

 

I recommend you to add hotmail and live email account on your MS Outlook.  You can also do something to avoid network password every time you send an email. To be able to do this, just go to "tools", "email account menu option" and then select change or view existing email accounts.  Just select the account that you want to modify and just click change. You can also click or check remember my password in the log in information and then click okay. You can do all this to avoid all the hassles logging in. I hope that you can now solve your issues.

If you are referring to Outlook.com where you can’t sign in even if you are already using the correct password, you might need to reset your password so you can access your account again for Outlook.com, SkyDrive, and other services from Microsoft. Before attempting a reset, try checking first if the Caps Lock on your keyboard is not activated when you type the password.

Activating or deactivating Caps Lock is important because passwords are case-sensitive. If there’s no problem in the character-casing of your password then it is possible that your account might have been compromised. To attempt a reset on your password, you need to go to Microsoft account: Reset your password page.

Type your email address in the field and type the characters in the image then click Next. Follow the succeeding instructions after that. You may also troubleshoot the issue you encounter. If you usually use your computer to sign in to your account, try using a different computer on a different connection to sign in to your account.

If you can sign in from other computer then there is probably something wrong in your computer. It could be a problem in the connection, in the web browser, or with the computer. First, try restarting your computer and try again. If this doesn’t work, try checking if your computer’s date and time are correct. If not, set the correct time and date.

Also make sure your web browser accepts third-party cookies.
