While trying to save a PS CS3 doc that I had made in 10.5.4 and later I have amended it in PS CS4.
I did so under OSX.6.2.
It failed to be saved. I got the following error message that says that the reason is I don’t have "necessary access privileges".
The screen shot is here. It says,
Could not initialize Photoshop because you do not have the necessary access privileges.
By looking into "Get Info" data, I became sure that the file is not locked. Then I became confirmed that I had ‘the Sharing & Permissions settings’ okay.
Now I can’t decide what it is?
Are you an expert or have some idea regarding this issue?

The issue arises if they user preferences file within Photoshop is removed or is corrupted. It can also arise if it is trying to save the file in a restricted location. To solve the issue follow these steps.
1. Go to the settings folder in the Adobe Photoshop directory.
2. Depending upon your version of Photoshop delete CS5Prefs.psp or the X64 prefs.psp.
3. Now go to Preferences- performance under the Edit tab.
4. Verify that the scratch disk is D: And not C:
5. Restart Photoshop and it should solve the issue.

I’m not sure if the problem is with the file because the error message thrown by Photoshop doesn’t actually point to the file but to Photoshop itself. The message clearly says that Photoshop cannot initialize properly because of a problem with the permission. This is an initialization problem and you only get an initialization problem during the program’s startup.
To fix the problem, check the permission set on Photoshop’s folder. To do this, open Finder then go to “/Library/Application Support/Adobe”. Click on the “Photoshop” folder to select it then click “Files” and then select “Get Info”. Uncheck the locked checkbox then in “Sharing & Permissions”, set read/write access permission to your user account or to the administrator’s account. After this, start Photoshop again then see if it works.
