Hello guys,

There has been an error occurring on my Mac whenever I try I to burn a disc using the Roxio burning software for Mac. Is this unique to me? What do I do?

This is a very common issue not only for Mac users but for Windows users as well. Sometimes the problem is from the disc you are using where you burn the media and sometimes induced by the actual application that burns the disc. There is no way you can tell if the blank CD you purchased is already defective not until you try burning something on it.

In your case, I wish you mentioned the version of Roxio you used to burn the CD because there are so many Roxio CD burning products available for Mac OS X and it’s hard to tell which one you used. But anyway, if ever this error happens again, check if there are other programs running besides your Roxio CD burning program.

If there are other applications running simultaneously with Roxio, close all applications including Roxio then restart your machine. After booting, open Roxio and don’t open any other programs. This is to verify if the error was triggered by a conflict with other applications. If the problem still appears, you may try reinstalling it.

Uninstall it first, restart your computer then install it again and then check what happens. You must also make sure that your operating system is fully supported. If you are using Roxio Easy VHS to DVD for Mac, you must be running Mac OS X 10.4, 10.5, or 10.6. Any lower Mac version might cause a problem. Visit Roxio Easy VHS to DVD. See image.
