Could not add .mov file in Video Studio

I have been using Ulead Video Studio 11 and also downloaded Corel Video Studio Pro X3. But both applications are making problems when I am taking a preview of a ‘.mov’ project file.

The Sample files are previewing properly in both applications but when I am adding a ‘.mov’ file to the timeline, it gives me an error message which says “The program encountered an error and forced to quit. Please contact support and “.dmp” files.”

I have lots of ‘.dmp’ files. And also, when I am trying to add an audio file to the project, it keeps hanging. How can I run your program with the Canon SX20 IS camera? The video format is ‘.mov’ and I need to run with the application. My computer uses Windows 7 and the browser is Internet Explorer. I also downloaded the trial version of Video Studio Pro X3 but the problem remains. Please help me to get out of this problem.

Iam thankful for all help.

Hello,

If Ulead Video Studio or Corel Video Studio doesn’t support *.mov files then you should convert that *.mov file into .avi. Then you will need a good converter. I'd suggest you to use the Xilisoft Video converter or Imtoo Video converter. Open the *.mov file in the converter. Select *.avi as the output format. Then convert it. Open the converted file in Ulead Video Studio or Corel Video Studio.

If you cannot convert the *.mov file or unable to open it in the video converter then the file must be corrupted.

This might be the reason of closing Ulead Video Studio and Corel Video Studio when you open the file.

There is a question related to corrupted files Unable to play .mov file in QuickTime and other players.

There is a solution about repairing corrupted *.mov file. After repairing the file you can open it in both Ulead Video Studio and Corel Video Studio.

Hope it helped.

Hi there user:

You may follow these simple steps. First, go to library organizer and make a new folder for videos. And then click add. Browse then to your video file and select. If following these steps still troubles you, then I can say you need to change or upgrade your version. I supposed your version is Pro.
