Hello Rodney!

Since you already tried reinstalling the application and the error is still there, I think there could be other causes to this problem. Most users reported a problem with the VXCoder.dll, a file that conflicts with an add-on from your web browser, especially if you're using Mozilla Firefox. The add-on has a version number (2.2.630.40) and it is in fact the Babylon Search and Browser manager.

So if you have the Babylon toolbar installed, this might be the reason for which your Corel application isn't working. You might even not know that you have it installed, because it may have installed by itself when you were downloading some other files.

You could do a routine antivirus scan to your computer, just to eliminate this solution off the list. Then you should go to Control Panel > Uninstall a program and then delete every program that is produced by Babylon LTD.

Also, you could use some specially designed programs such as Your Uninstaller, to remove every trace the virus left on your computer, including in your registries. The next step is to eliminate the virus from your browser and depending on what browser you're using, you can find the steps to do that here.

Additionally, you must make sure you are in the administrator mode when you run all these changes. Don't forget to regularly run virus and malware scans using your antivirus, and regularly clean the programs you don't need for a better functioning of your computer.

Good luck!

Hi

Uninstall Corel VideoStudio Pro X5 then click Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, and select Disk Cleanup. Select drive C and click OK. Check “Temporary files” and click OK. When Disk Cleanup is finished restart your computer. Install Corel VideoStudio Pro X5 and see if it works.
