Corel Video Studio has encountered an unspecified error

I usually encounter an “unspecified” error from time to time and it is very hard to predict what causes it because it just appears out of nowhere even if you didn’t do any updating on your operating system. The usual remedy I do whenever I see an “unspecified” error on my computer is to close the application and restart the computer.

I can run the program normally again after a reboot. I think it’s only a glitch that happens from time to time. In your case, try restarting your computer and run the program again to see if the same error can be reproduced. If the same error is generated, it can be caused if you updated your operating system.

It can also be caused by a corrupted file in the system. Try reinstalling Corel VideoStudio Pro. Uninstall it, restart your computer, and install it back. See if this fixes the problem. If nothing happened and the error keeps appearing, try upgrading your program to Corel VideoStudio Pro X7. You will surely not encounter any problem on this one.

The Corel VideoStudio Pro X7 supports x86 and x64 Windows XP Service Pack 3, Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8. You need to have a minimum 2 GB RAM to run this version and at least Intel Core Duo 1.83 GHz processor or AMD Dual Core 2.0 GHz or higher.
