I have a picture.jpg from my camera. I want to use that picture to make a logo but my company is required to make an .eps file. I used a normal picture viewer to convert it to .eps, but I am unsure if that will work. Does anyone know how to convert .jpg to .eps? And what software can I use to do this?

Hello Ryan,

You can convert your .jpg image to the .eps format by using softwares like adobe fireworks cs5, adobe Photoshop cs5 and paint all which are used for editing images.

What you are required to do is select whichever program that you will like from the ones mentioned above and then open it and paste your image in the blank editable space.

Make some changes to the image if you may like, and then go to file then save as, from the save dialog box choose the format in which you want to save your image, which in this case is .eps, and then click on save.

Hope this helps.

Hi

Both JPEG and EPS are image formats. Those formats are different with the comparison method they use.

JPEG is stand for Joint Photographic Experts Group. These standards describe the codec that use to compress the image.  JPEG is the most common and widely used file type today. Usually work with high resolution images.

EPS is stand for Encapsulated Post Script. It is a graphical file format. Actually it is coded document that represent a graphical image.

There are few converters that we can convert .JPEG file into.EPS file. I found an online image converter that can do the job you want.
