Dear readers, while running  Photoshop, I got the following error message.

I was running the program on a cloned drive. 

 

Sorry, a serious error has been detected.

To continue using Adobe Creative Suite, please reinstall the application.

I reinstalled the program and authorized it. Later as I tried to open an image file I got the above message.

Please help.

Dear friend,

The problem with Cloned drives is that it usually have the same machine ssid value (if windows) and same “machine id” (if other). Hence, when you run your installed program under the cloned drive while the original is running and/or because of security corruption due to cloning you got that error.

My experience with VMware is that it gives you an option to change the ssid when cloning the drive to make sure everything will work fine.
