Hello experts,

I need a solution like contactmonkey.  Is there anything like this that is free?  I want to sync the contacts of my iphone to my android device.  Can this be possible?

There are other alternatives to transferring your contacts from your iPhone to Android aside from Contact Monkey — You can try Google contacts or you can download a contact migration app like Synkontact (You can download the app for free on the Net or you can go check the iTunes and purchase the app for $ 1.99).

Using Google Contacts (you need to have a Gmail or Google account for this one)

  • Connect your iPhone via USB to your PC

  • Open iTunes, select your phone and click on info tab (iTunes 7.7 or a later version is recommended)

  • In the address book, select the “Sync Address Book Contacts “option

  • Select All Contacts and check the “Sync Google Contacts” option

  • Click Configure and then enter your Gmail id and password

Reminder: You need to delete all contacts that are previously stored in your Gmail account, or else they will be included once you transfer all contacts to your Android phone.

Now once your iPhone contacts are safely stored in your Gmail/ Google account, you can now readily transfer it to your Android Phone:

  • Go to Menu > Settings > Accounts and Sync

  • Tap the Add Account option, select Google account and enter your username and password

  • Taping on the Google account will allow you to open sync options where you can sync Contacts, Gmail, Picasa and Google calendar.

Or you can have a faster alternative:  Use Synkontact

  • Download and install Synkontact on your phone

  • Open the app, Select Upload

  • Type an “upload name” and click OK

  • Once the contacts are uploaded, a password will be provided to you – Save the password

  • Enter from your Android Phone (You also have Synkontact installed on your Android). Choose Download and enter the name you typed in and the password that was provided to you

  • Select Merge into Local, Choose OK.That’s it
