Hello,

I am using QuickBooks while working on a company and got this error message when I was preparing accounts on regular basis. I could not understand this error. We have a network connection to the company file and suddenly lost. I need your help as I have to complete my daily tasks as soon possible. How can I resolve this issue? Help me. Thanks in advance.

The connection to the company file has been lost. QuickBooks must close immediately. Any unsaved data will need to be re-entered.

Solution

The problem may cause by the way QuickBooks is setup on your network.

The error is due to the power management settings or QuickBooks system files.
There are multiple solutions to resolve this error.
Solution 1: Disable the power settings
1) Click 'Start', go to 'Control Panel'
2) On the keyboard press 'Windows', type 'Power Options', Click to select 'Power options'

3) Turn off the sleep, standby, hibernate modes on the system
4) Restart the system after the settings are applied

Solution 2: Fix the problem using File Doctor
1) Download and install the QuickBooks File Doctor software from the official QuickBook website
2) After the download is complete, install the tool by clicking the .exe file
3) Launch the tool by clicking the icon on the desktop
4) It will repair and recover all the damaged files present in the system
5) Restart the system when the process is completed
