I got this error on my Mac’s mail app. When trying to refresh the page, my iCloud account keep asking for my password again and again followed by this error.
iCloud encountered an error while trying to connect to the server.

Please try the below mentioned steps to and let me know the outcome. This is seemingly a web browser issue.
1. Check your browser
For the best web experience with iCloud, you should make sure you are using a supported web browser. The browser that is supported by the application are as follows
Safari 5 or later
Firefox 5 or later
Internet Explorer 8 or later
Chrome 12 or later
3. Clear the browser cache.
Depending on the IE used, clear the browser cache.
