I am wondering whether it is possible to configure Outlook 2007 in such a way that you don’t receive copies of meeting –associated messages sent to that particular calendar owner when you send accept/decline to a certain person. If it is, please tell me how to do it.

It is only possible when you are going to create a rule in which assign a group and explicitly define recipient there. so that your mail can be received by the recipients of your choice.

Hello Justin,

We may need additional information with regard to your question.

Here are the possible answers based on how we understood your queries.

You can setup auto accept in your outlook for your meetings. Though the invite will still appear on your mailbox, it will only be temporary as outlook will accept it for you and notify the organizer of that meeting automatically and move the notification to your sent items.

Just go to Options then click on Tools and look for Preferences then go to tab then click on Calendar Options Button and select Resource Scheduling. Once you are there, just click on the option that says automatically accept meetings and process cancellations.

On the other hand, if you do not wish the calendar owner to receive an email should you wish to decline or accept his invite, just go to your calendar and click on the meeting then select this series and choose remove/cancel. This will just remove it from your end without sending any notification to the owner.

If you are the organizer and you do not want to receive email responses when an attendee declines or accept it, you can just disable this option when you send the invite.

Go to file then click on next and choose Meeting request then Uncheck Request Responses from the drop down menu. This can be found at the center of the responses button on your meeting request.

Additionally, if the invite was only forwarded to you, whether you accept or decline it,  only the organizer will  be notified as he has the tracking button that will show all responses from attendees.

I hope any of the ones mentioned above helps.

Let us know if you have further questions.

Regards,

Puckett
