Configure Fax Modem to Operate at Certain Times

Hi. I would like to know if anybody here is familiar with configuring a fax modem set up on a SBS Server 2003.  I would like to set a schedule on the usage of the fax modem – no sending between 8pm to 8am.  In the console there is an option ‘Discount Rate Hours’ which will only allow sending of faxes marked ‘Discount Rate Only’ during hours with discounted rates.  We are using outlook for our faxes.  The process is as follows: Users send a message to a ‘Business Fax’ contact using the fax mail transport, which sends the fax to a shared fax modem that is on our servers.  Thanks.

Configure Fax Modem to Operate at Certain Times

You can use a third party application called snappy fax to do that. What you will do first of all is to make sure you have set up a default email account in snappy fax so that it will be able to know *how* to send the email. You will also need to go to settings and the then choose fax options, and there you will set the intervals at which you want the send the messages and the times which you do not want the application to send messages. You will also need to UNCHECK the 'Always use default mailer…' option. Check if there is any other settings that will be crucial for that process and change it or configure it appropriately, and then save the changes.
