Computer won’t boot at all

Hi there,

I have recently bought this Dell Vostro 2521 laptop, I recently left the laptop updating windows 8 to Windows 8.1 and went to sleep, when I woke up in the morning I pressed the start button and it went on as usual, but the computer did not display anything on the screen, the screen has an illuminated black display like it's waiting for some background processing, then nothing happens, I have tried reinstalling Windows 8, but with no screen display I could not get far. what could be the problem? how can I getthe computer to display?

Hi !

To make sure that the hardwares are ok you will have to do some tests. Since you're saying that your video card is not working properly try to connect a monitor to your video card via HDMI. If is not working you must reset your BIOS, and for that you will lose your warranty certificate. To avoid this go to an authorized service with warranty certificate and they will repair it for you. After that if you will have OS problems reinstall a clean one.
