I have an online interview which records my voice and take snapshots too. Now I have a snapshot camera gone problem. Everytime I click on the settings tool, the name of my webcam (realtek) does not appear from the list. In fact, no option appears at all! It is connected and I do not know why it's not there. Please help me! I need to do this!

Douglas,

Try going into Device Manager to see if it is listed in devices at all.

     1.  Click Start and type in Device Manager in the Search box, then hit Enter.

If your device is not listed at all then you have a serious problem as a built in camera should be listed even when it doesn't work.  Try searching for new hardware and see if it comes up.

If you have a device listed but it has a big yellow triangle next to it then you have somehow lost the driver to the device.  Try right clicking on the device and updating the driver.  If that doesn't work then try to go to the web site and download an updated driver.

Once downloaded, install the driver.

Sometimes with Windows updates, some devices can get lost in the shuffle, so to speak.  In other words, sometimes the driver for one device can get lost or outdated with a Windows update.
