Compatibility problem in Vista with VOIP

I am using ring central on PC and it has been working properly. Now I cannot talk using this, as I cannot hear my voice and theirs as well. After reinstalling, the same problem exist. Also, I tried asking assistance with the technical support from a cable company. Also tried with the technical support of MS and ring central. Nothing worked. Any idea?

Hello Jasmine,

Have you installed any software or drivers lately on your computer? Or have you installed updates from the internet that might have included sound drivers? If yes, then the drivers or software that you installed may be the possible cause for the problem. If they were sound drivers that were downloaded and installed as updates then they may not be compatible with your PC's specs and therefore you will need to uninstall them,

Run the system restore utility to restore the system to an earlier state before the problem began and to remove any software or drivers that you might have installed that are causing the PC to malfunction.

Otherwise the problem may be due to hardware failure, probably the sound box.
