I am currently looking to buy a new processor for my pc. I am aware that you have to check the compatibility with the on-board motherboard but I do know the main differences between the names. How does an i3, i5 and i7 differ? I know there is a big difference in performance but what are the other criteria?

In January 7,2010 Intel has launched a processor that is Intel's Core i3 after that they launch Core i5 and Core i7 processors. The main difference in all of them are that i3 is a low-end, i5 is a mid-level and i7 is a high-end processor. The core i3 processor has 2 cores, i5 processor has 4 or 2 cores, i7 has 4 cores. i7 has better clock speed and turbo-boost support. It has more cache memory than the i5.But core i3 has not any turbo boost support.Core i7 has also a DMI (Direct Media Interface) with Integrated GPU.So,it is might choice with go Intel core i7 processor.
