Comodo detecting EVERYTHING as virus!

I was trying to install a game and Comodo was stopping the install saying the Keygen is a virus. I stopped the real time protection assuming that it was a false alarm. The game installed fine. But now Comodo Antivirus has gone crazy and trying to delete or quarantine every file on the hard disk. Please help.

Hey,

I guess your files have got infected while you stopped real time protection. It can happen really fast. But still I personally don't prefer Comodo so I am tempted to say it is raising false alarms. You should uninstall it and install a new and better one but before that, go to some online scanning website (if you have a fair internet connection) and check what's really up with your rig.

I have installed Kaspersky Antivirus and it is detecting viruses as well and it's like it is more suspicious about the files and sweeping my files clean almost leaving nothing behind LOL!  All my applications and software are useless now as nothing would run because all of them are missing some files. What's the best option for me now?

Sorry to hear that but the best option for you is to reformat C. So before you format, scan other drives with Antivirus and Anti malware. Then reformat and the first thing you will need to install is Antivirus software and run a complete scan again to ensure your PC is clean. Hope that helps.

Try to use better Antivirus programs. I know Comodo is free but still there are more free ones better than Comodo. For example you can use AVG or Avast free editions (I personally don't like them though). You can give Panda Cloud Antivirus free version a go. I think that would be a good choice and among the paid ones. Try Kaspersky or NOD32 or even BitDefender. If you don't want to pay for them there are always alternative ways, if you know where to look. Cheers!
