Hi! I am just curious. What is a cloud and what does it provide to the users of the internet? Will it cost much bandwidth and time to upload and download from a cloud storage? Regards.

Hi John Pike

Cloud is a online storage which allows you to access all your personal data anywhere any time at any mobile device or computer. You can synchronize your PC and mobile devices and you can share data like photos, contacts, movies, and emails etc with your friends and family  Cloud storage can be of 2 types.

Private cloud storage: It is internal to your organization and you own, power and manage it

Public cloud storage:  It is storage which you rent from someone else and they own, power and manage it.

Bandwidth and time to Upload and download on cloud storage depends upon your interent speed and your cloud storage provider. You can test your cloud storage speed by internet speed tests.

For cloud, download speed of 6 Mb /sec and upload speed of 1 Mb/sec is considered as good anywhere.

Regards.
