Close button is not working in Windows7

Hello guys,

I am using Dell Inspiron 14 with Windows 7 pre-installed in it.

It was working great, but after a few months, recently I started getting some issue may be because of the system slowness. When I click the close button on any open window, it is not closing the window. I thought this was due to Virus and did full System scans using MBAM Pro, McA Fee and Avast Antivirus.

I am not able to figure out what is causing this issue. Any more ideas? Please assist me in this regard. Thanks a lot in advance.

The problem may be fix if you consider some easy steps to demolish the issue. You just have to start your Browser in Troubleshoot issues using Safe Mode to check if one of your add-ons is causing this problem. You can also fix this issue by using another browser. I hope that will work fine.

If you think your computer is infected with a virus because of the slowness, download Sophos Virus Removal Tool and install it. If you have an existing antivirus program installed, you don’t need to uninstall or disable it because this tool works alongside any antivirus program you may have. Once installed, start Sophos then wait until the virus signature database gets updated.

When it is ready, click “Scan” to scan your computer. The tool will scan everything on your computer including USB devices connected to your USB ports. When a virus is found at the end of the scan, remove it and repeat the scan until it no longer detects a virus.

In case the machine is clean and no virus was found, close the tool then download the free version of CCleaner and install it. Once installed, start CCleaner and clean your system. After this, download PC Tools Performance Toolkit. Follow the instructions to download and unpack and then install it.

Once installed, start PC Tools then in “Dashboard” tab, click the “1-Click Optimization” button to begin optimizing your machine. Just wait until everything is complete and your computer should be a little faster after this.
