Hi all,

I am using SONY VAIO laptop with Windows 7 Ultimate.

It was working fine so far, but from today I am facing an issue with the internet. In my Internet Explorer 11, in few web pages few clicks on buttons are not working. For example, In few websites the Sign In button, Next page button and Page Number buttons are not working. If I use Firefox the same web pages are working fine.

Is this an issue with Windows 7 or the IE11? Anybody facing the same problem? Please help me out to figure out the reason and the solution for the same. Thanks in advance!

The problem may cause due to the Enhanced Protected Mode. You just have to follow the procedure to fix this issue.

1. Start the Internet Explorer

2. Use the Internet Options by clicking in Tools

3. Choose the Advanced tab

4. Then uncheck the "Enable Protected Mode"

5. Just Restart the Internet Explorer after saving the changes.

Thanks!

If you are using Microsoft Windows 7 that means by default you have Microsoft Internet Explorer 10 because this is the browser that ships with Windows 7. This also means that Microsoft Internet Explorer 11 is only an upgrade from version 10. If that’s what’s happening on your browser, check if you meet the requirements for Microsoft Internet Explorer 11.

Microsoft Internet Explorer 11 for Windows 7

Microsoft Internet Explorer 11 supports Windows 7 Service Pack 1, Windows 8.1, and Windows 10 both 32-bit and 64-bit as well as Windows Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1 64-bit only and Windows Server 2012 R2. Microsoft Internet Explorer 11 ships with Windows 8.1 and is not supported on Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012. So, since you have Windows 7, make sure you have Service Pack 1 installed.

If you don’t have this Service Pack installed yet, you need to update your operating system to this Service Pack because that’s what’s causing the problem with the browser. Download Windows 7 Service Pack 1. This is the latest and only Service Pack update for Microsoft Windows 7. To download the browser again from Microsoft, visit Microsoft Internet Explorer 11 Offline Installer.
