Are there clear cut distinctions between Utility softwares and Software Drivers in computing? What are the roles of each of these softwares as well as what goes into the structural programming of these kinds of software? Is it possible to have a Utility software functioning as drivers for another device? Thank you.

Clear-cut distinctions between Utility Software as well as Driver Softwares

In computing, Utility soft wares and Software Drivers are two distinct things. Utility soft wares are a type of System Soft ware which are often provided as a part of the OS although it is possible to install them separately. Examples for Utility soft wares are Anti virus soft wares & other utilities used for the activities like Disk Defragment.

The main roles played by Utility soft wares are file related activities like renaming, deleting, copying, sending to printers, saving, repairing the damaged & backing up the files.

On the other hand, Software Drivers are the applications that are used to create an interface between hard ware devices and the OS.
So, it is impossible to have a Utility software functioning as a driver for another device.
