To clean your pen drive using the command prompt you need to make use of the DISKPART command. First open the command prompt with administrative privileges by clicking on Start, going to All Programs, click Accessories, right click Command Prompt then choose Run as Administrator.

When the black windows opens type in DISKPART then hit enter. We need to be able to identify your pen drive, so type in LIST DISK. Take note of the number that refers to your pen drive. Enter SELECT DISK # where # refers to your pen drive’s number designation. Type SELECT PARTITION 1 then enter DELETE PARTITION. Type CLEAN the CREATE PARTITION PRIMARY.

Hi Bardock,

I acknowledge your research that you did on USB clean program. But as far as current available programs there is no such an application which you can use on cmd interface to clean up the temporary files other than those of windows based clean up applications that can be run in windows environment.

As far as the sense of your question is concerned you are trying to clean up the USB's temporary files etc and make its storage more utilized. So you are advised to use windows based application to clean up your USB's temporary files.
