I have ClaimWin free Antivirus installed on one of my Windows XP SP3 machine.

It does a scan on schedule and removes infections without any issues. I am able to perform a “On Demand” scan also.

But when I try to open my any of my outlook emails or any of my emails with an attachment I get an error message. Is this something related to my web browser?

This started happening only after I upgraded my software recently.

An Error occurred whilst scanning: scanFile:No database loaded.

May be your Antivirus detect mail attachment as a virus. So you need to change Antivirus settings. Make it disable and restart your PC.

Best of luck.

As I perceive it, ClamWin just goes with the Outlook message project. I have never utilized it with message, but you could need to arrange it to go with Outlook. In the event that this connects with you, check your arrangement and make adjustments accordingly.

There is a unique document in the signature database now-bytecode.cld (and probably later a symbol database), which might be derailing things and messing up the functions.

Since you are utilizing ClamWin with something furthermore Outlook, you could check with the message supplier, granted that they would not be able to have deciphered ClamWin form .96 yet.

Try deleting the entire contents on C:usersall users.claimwindb folder and then run the database update or manually do a virus database update. This will fix the problem. And also, did you recently update ClamWin to a different version? If so, try reverting it and go back to the old version.

Go to folder C:UsersAll Users.clamwindb folder and remove all the contents from there. And then download the virus database update on the ClamWin icon in system tray. And also, ensure that you are running the latest version of ClamWin antivirus. You can get it from the link below:
