Hi! Problem showed up with Cinema 4D R12, everything was perfect till it stopped working, it simply doesn't run. I double click on the icon, it appears for 2 seconds in task manager and then disappears. I've tried versions from R11 to R15 and none was workinh, tried to run as administrator, nothing as well. Can't understand where is the problem.

Hello,

It appears you may have an issue related to the hardware profile of your machine. Recent upgrades to your hardware may have caused this problem. Test your hardware and ensure you have all appropriate drivers. You may need to reinstall the hardware or revert. It could also be a corrupted file that caused the initial problem and remained on your system to cause problems with other versions. I would suggest ensuring that a full wipe of the software is done followed by a reinstall.

If you want to use CINEMA 4D Release 12 or CINEMA 4D R12, check that you have a supported operating system and it is compatible with your computer. CINEMA 4D Release 12 supports Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7. Windows 8.x and Windows 10 are not supported.

CINEMA 4D Release 12 requires an Intel or AMD processor with SSE2 support, 1 GB RAM, DVD drive, and 2.5 GB free space. For Mac users, it supports OS X 10.5.8 Leopard and higher. If you made an upgrade on your operating system, you should reinstall CINEMA 4D Release 12. Among its enhanced rendering features include:

  • Linear workflow and color profiles – adopting a linear workflow can now be achieved by simply activating or enabling a checkbox.
  • IES lights – accurate light falloffs can now be possibly applied using the IES data directly from lighting manufacturers.
  • True units of measurement – CINEMA 4D Release 12 supports units making sure that calculations are accurate and scene scaling remains consistent.
