I was given a 7" Notebook (Chinese) with the Windows CE 6.0 software already installed. I am having difficulty connecting to the WiFi Network. Also, when I try using CMD, I get the messages "cannot execute netstart.exe" and "PPOE Access Concentrator is not responding." I appreciate your time and effort concerning these issues.

There are numerous people who have raised the same concerns when they are using notebooks. Failure of WiFi connection is attributable to several situations. First, the notebook could be lacking wireless device drivers. Therefore, it is important for you to check if they are installed and working.

If they are not present, you can simply download them from the internet and then install them on your netbook. Also, you should check if WiFi device is switched on. There are people who try to connect their Netbooks to wireless networks when their WiFi devices are off. This cannot work. Wireless device has to be on for a netbook to detect a network.

Lastly, you should check your security settings to ensure that there is no firewall that is preventing the netbook from connecting to the network. If you discover that this is the problem, you should change the settings appropriately. If the problem persists, it would be advisable for you to take the netbook to a technician.
