Charging issues become worse with iOS 7.1.2

Hi,

I am having an iPhone 5S mobile and I was having issues with charging it. It was taking long time to get charged.

This week I saw the iOS7 update 7.1.2 and hence I thought it might help resolving my charging issues and I have installed it. Surprisingly, its charging issues become worse. This is charging intermittently or sometimes not at all, even though I connect the device to AC power all day. I have tried different ways by using an AC adapter, USB charger or car charger.

What is the problem with my iPhone? Thanks in advance!

It might be adapter or cable issue surely. Otherwise the running apps in background consuming lot of battery. Please turn off your mobile while charging this might charge your mobile faster. If the problem is not solved, then you might have to go to the Apple store because we cannot check it physically so sorry for that.
