Most of those DVDs which are encrypted keep them locked away through "region codes", which means they usually won't play in other continents. This is a solution against piracy. You do have two options to watch them.

1. You can unlock DVD region code through windows.

*Click "start" and then "My computer".

*Right click the DVD that you want to get unlocked.

*Select "Properties" and then choose "Hardware" tab from the top of the menu and again select "Properties".

* Select the region where the DVD is from the "DVD Region" tab, and then click "OK".

2. You can download the VLC player to your computer. You'll find many free downloads through a Google search. VLC player enables you to play any DVD from other regions.
