Change default type for Maps app

The Maps app in iOS always gives driving directions, by defaiult. Everytime I set out for a walk, I have to choose for the option available for walking directions. Is it possible to change the default type and set it for walking directions always?

Change default type for Maps app

By default, Map Applications give Driving Direction. To change your given default direction, follow these steps.
 
1) Go to Setting App from the Home Screen of your device.
2) Go to Maps.
3) Go to Preferred Directions.
4) Select Walking.
 
Now, your default is Walking Direction ainstead of Driving Diretcions. With this, you do not have to select walking direction as you go to this application.
