Hey guys, I want to install Adobe Photoshop CS3 on my desktop computer but I don't have an original installer that's why I went to my friend who is working at computer shop, my house is just 20mins away from the computer shop. I requested him to burn a 2 copies of his Adobe Photoshop CS3 into a cd. After he copied it at the cd, he tried to run the software and it is working normally. Then when I went home I'm excited to install the Adobe Photoshop CS3, but unluckily  the cd cannot be detected at my dvd rom. Before I left at the computer shop the cd is working but now why is it cannot detected from my pc. Is it a cd error or can be a cd/dvd rom problem? What do I need to do to make it work?

Hi Dpadon,

  • There are a number of reasons why the CD is not working for your computer. One of them is that the CDs you have may have been damaged on your way home – to the point that it cannot be read by your computer, especially if they don't have a proper container.
  • Another reason is maybe your computer cannot detect your DVD ROM itself. Try checking by testing other CDs and DVDs in your DVD ROM. If the other CDs/DVDs worked, then the problem lies with your Photoshop CD. But if nothing worked, then your DVD ROM is the problem.
  • Check first if your DVD ROM appears when you click My Computer. Then check if it has the latest software. Also check if requires troubleshooting in the Device Manager.

These kinds of problems occur when the DVD or CD didn’t write well. If DVD or CD ROM’s writing speed is high, the CD or DVD   which is burning didn’t get data on it well. So try to re-burn the CD at a low speed (32x) and check whether it works.
