Catalyst error – No AMD graphics driver is installed

I have just managed to build a functioning, working  HTPC  or so I thought.  A few days ago I opened up Catalyst and I got this error. At first I thought I would just have to reinstall the drivers but today I did a few more tweaks and got the same error. Do you know what I am doing wrong?

Thanks

No AMD graphics driver is installed, or the AMD river is not functioning properly. Please install the AMD driver appropriate for your AMD hardware.

Hi Jack,

This is possibly because you have an outdated version of the drivers or driver version don't match the ones required for your AMD graphics. Use the AMD Driver Autodetect Utility- to install the latest drivers for your graphic card.

For detailed instructions on how to use AMD Driver Autodetect Utility

And for more information on how to manually find drivers for your card

The problem there is with your video card or graphics adapter which may not be properly installed. If your HTPC or Home Theater PC is installed with an ATI Radeon graphics adapter or any AMD-based video card, make sure the driver is installed properly. To download the latest driver, go to AMD Graphics Drivers and Software.

If you are using a different video card, try updating or installing the latest driver. If your video card is ASUS, go to ASUS Download Center. If you have an NVIDIA video card, go to NVIDIA Driver Downloads. If you are using a built-in Intel graphics adapter, go to Intel Drivers & Software.

For users with Matrox video card, go to Matrox Driver and Software Download.
