Hello,

I am using JSS 8.52 on my operating system, which is CentOS 6.2. Everything is OK, and it seems to be running fine.

You may download the code that attached below.

Result:

Casperadmin/casperinstall can both mount/read from the share, but for some reason, casperadmin can't write to it. I get a Mac authentication Popup, and the error shows – “Items can't be copied to "CasperShare" because you don't have permission to read them", when I try to mount CasperShare from a Mac using the casperadmin and want to copy over a file.

These are the screenshots:

login to CasperShare Casper Share

CasperShare

Copy

Items can't copied to "CasperShare" because you don't

have permission to read them

                                                           OK

Thanks in advance.

First of all you have to check the samba log file and check that you are in the valid users group and that you have the privilege to write. You can also try to disable SELINUX. If you failed to fix the problem after trying everything I suggest using Netatalk. It's less complicated and much easier to configure.
