Can’t run MPEG-4 file in QuickTime

Hello Everybody,

In my Windows XP Service pack 3 just open this foo file from my email which my friend sends it. I got an error opening this file in my QuickTime 5. This is the  first time I got an error in my Quicktime.

Can you give me some inputs how to get away this kind of problem. Thanks everybody.

Are you only facing problem with running “foo.mp4” file or all .mp4 files playing on QuickTime 5, You should have mentioned it. By the way, if you only facing problem playing “foo.mp4”, then the file must be corrupted. This might be happened for virus issue, unsuccessful copy – pasting or unsuccessful download from internet.

Try downloading “foo.mp4” file again from internet or where you copied the file from. If you can play any .mp4 files then uninstall QuickTime 5 restart you pc and download the QuickTime’s latest version form here.

Or try other players if you can’t really play any .mp4 files on QuickTime player. Here is link where you will find many video players.
