Hi Everyone,

As a newbie of Ubuntu 8.10 had bad day in opening the VirtualBox 2.1.4 after installing Windows 7 on it. After a successful installation of Windows 7 and followed the appropriate settings of VirtualBox for Windows 7 then have restart Ubuntu. When trying to open VirtualBox it gave me unnecessary error message. Could anyone give an advice of these?

Thank you techyv.

Can’t Open the Virtualbox in my Ubuntu

Hello Macy,

So you installed windows 7 on a computer that had Ubuntu already running on it? I have never tried that before, but the way that I know will the best to install a dual boot for windows and Ubuntu will be to start with the windows installation first and then install Ubuntu.

When installing Ubuntu, you need to ensure that the two operating systems reside on the same primary hard drive partition so that problems will not arise due to the system failing to locate the destination of the operating systems.

So I will suggest that you uninstall both and start with the windows installation first.

Hope this helps.
