I have been trying this for ages now but don't seem to know how to get it right.
I have a mac laptop and would like to connect it to my 3D Samsung Television.
What hardware do I need to make this happen?
And is there a software required to get this connected?

Most of the TVs nowadays use HDMI cables to connect their TV and Laptop. For you to connect your MacBook to an HD TV, you have two ways of doing it.

For new MacBooks that has a Mini display port connection for external video, you need a Mini display port to HDMI adapter and an HDMI cable.

1. Connect the adapter to your Mac.

2. Connect the HDMI cable to your TV.
Â
3. Connect the adapter and the other end of the HDMI cable.

For old MacBooks, it uses DVI to HDMI cable.

Once all the necessary adapter and cables are connected, you should then change the input settings of your TV to HDMI.
